(A GUEST POST BY MARY KIRKPATRICK AND MAX HOLZBERG)
Yesterday, Friday August 3rd 2012 Max and Mary ventured into Parc Jean Drapeau for Osheaga Music and Arts festival! The Day was jam-packed with over 20 talented performers. On a whole we saw 8 fabulous acts. Ranging from Fun all the way to Florence and The Machine. Our excitement to see Florence and the Machine was uncontrollable. We were so anxious to see them come stage that we had staked out seats hours before their performance. Our seats were originally located on the hill underneath the Osheaga Sign - surrounded by wannabe Bohemians. Early on into the set we quickly moved to lower ground and where the sound and the view was even better than before! By the end of the set, we were all stricken by migraines (the good kind,) after a day of dancing and being in the sun. We were hungry and we where tired: it was time to go so left during the last song,"No Light, No Light." Simon (being so awesome) offered to make us dinner for when we got home. It was Pad Thai and it was really good. As if the weekend couldn't get any better we woke up and made chocolate milk out of Almond's, Dates and Raw Chocolate. We proceeded to have granola and chocolate milk...a classic breakfast "healthified".
-2 cups almond milk
-4 fresh pitted dates
-1 tbsp cacao powder
1) Blend all ingredients together in a blender and voila - Chocolate Milk.
SONG OF THE DAY....
