PUMPKIN PIE SMOOTHIE

It doesn't matter what time of year it is, I can't get enough pumpkin pie. Apparently this is genetic as both my uncle and my grandfather I believe had a thing for pumpkin pie too. The funny thing about pumpkin pie is it does not need to be unhealthy...somehow people just make it that way because they figure that something can not be considered a dessert until you pile it with sugar. When you think about it the only things you need for something to taste like pumpkin pie are....1) Pumpkin, 2)Pumpkin Pie spices, 3)A tiny bit of sweetener. You must must must check back around Thanksgiving time because I will post the first raw creation I ever made several years ago..Raw Pumpkin Pie and it really is fabulous. But for now here is a summer drink to get you prepared for when that magical recipe appears.
FUN FACTS ABOUT OUR PUMPKIN FRIENDS:
**It's orange! Do you know what that means? Lots of betacarotene which is a carotenoid that when consumed turns into Vitamin A in the body and has antioxidant properties.
**It's not only good for the eyes...but the immune system, mood regulation, and protecting the body against cancer, heart disease and skin damage.
**Please if you are buying pumpkin in a can make sure it says 100% pumpkin on it. Check the ingredients there should be only pumpkin and no sugar. You do not want to buy Pumpkin Pie Filling!
