KALE CHIPS - THE BASICS

I realize that I haven't done a video in a while so I thought I would do one detailing exactly how easy it is to make kale chips. Kale chips are a delicious nutritious snack and fulfill all cravings associated with potato chips. So go ahead...watch the video and learn how to make them and then get into your kitchen and create some kale love.

FUN FACTS ABOUT KALE:
-Descendent of wild cabbage originally from Asia Minor
-1 cup provides 180% daily intake vitamin A, 200% daily intake vitamin C and 1000% daily intake of vitamin K. 
-Sooo many antioxidants (carotenoids and flavonoids)!
-Crunchy and delicious!


KALE CHIPS:
Ingredients:
-6-8 leaves of kale
-2 tbsp olive oil
-1/2- 1 tsp sea salt
Instructions:
1)Pull the leafy part of the kale off of the stem.
2)Massage kale in a bowl with the olive oil and sea salt.
3)Transfer to a teflex lined dehydrator sheet or a parchment lined cookie sheet
4) If in the dehydrator dehydrate at 125 for 3 hours. If in the oven bake at 200 for 1-2 hours.
5) Enjoy this crispy treat. Store them in the fridge!
