GRAB AND GO BARS MADE EASY!


When we are on the go we should not sacrifice the quality and nutrient density of our food! That's why homemade bars made with nuts and seeds and super food goodness are so great for those times when we are rushing out the door or need a snack mid-day. Feel free to mix and match the nuts and seeds in these recipes just don't forget the coconut oil which makes them stick together. Coconut oil makes them super easy to make these energy filled treats because you don't need to bake them at all - just mix everything together and stick them in the fridge. Here are two fabulous recipes you can whip up on the weekends and store in the fridge to ensure you are properly fueled all week long.

TIPS #3:KEEP HEALTHY GRAB AND GO ITEMS IN THE FRIDGE AT ALL TIMES!

SEEDY NUT BARS
-1 cup almond butter
-1 cup sesame seeds
-1 cup hemp seeds
-1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
-1 cup unsweeted shredded coconut
-1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
-1/2 cup coconut oil
-1 tbsp cinnamon
-3 tbsp raw honey (optional)

Instructions:
1) Mix everything together in a large bowl.
2) Press mixture into a square pan and refrigerate for 1 hour.
3) Cut into squares and consume.

CHOCOLATE PROTEIN BARS
-1 cup raw pumpkin seeds
-1/2 cup hemp hearts
-1/2 cup chia seeds
-1/2 cup hemp protein powder
-1/2 cup goji berries
-20 dates
-6 tbsp coconut oil
-4 tbsp raw cacao powder
-1 tbsp vanilla

Instructions:
1) Mix the pumpkin seeds, hemp hearts, chia seeds, hemp protein and goji berries in a bowl.
2) Put the dates, coconut oil, cacao and vanilla in a food processor or high power blender and blend until combined.
3) Mix the blended mixture into the dry mixture.
4) Press into a square pan and refrigerate for 1 hour.
5) Cut into squares and eat up!
